Hotwives of Orlando

A parody of one of the most popular franchises in reality television, The Hotwives of Orlando takes you inside the uber-exclusive and glamorous world of six hot housewives livin’ large in Central Florida’s sexiest city, Orlando. The show follows a cast of ladies as they fight over pretty much everything except for their love of shoes, plastic surgery, and the pursuit of spending all of their husbands’ money. The series is brought to Hulu by Paramount Digital Entertainment, the studio behind the Emmy-nominated series Burning Love, and is produced by Emmy Award-winning executive producer Jonathan Stern (Childrens Hospital) and executive producer Paul Scheer.

Hotwives of Orlando is available on Hulu.

'Hotwives' shifts from Orlando to Las Vegas

By Hal Boedeker (Orlando Sentinal) - 1/7/15

Say goodbye to the "Hotwives" franchise, Orlando.

Hulu on Wednesday announced that "The Hotwives of Orlando" will be back for a second season, but the comedy will shift to Las Vegas and be redubbed "The Hotwives of Las Vegas."

The show never shot in the City Beautiful. Rather Santa Clarita, Calif., filled in for Orlando in the seven-episode comedy, which filmed in seven days. Still, the spoof of Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise skewered Orlando with fierce style. READ MORE

'The Hotwives Of Orlando': TV Review

The Hollywood Reporter - 7/15/14

The Bottom Line: The satire of "Hotwives" is knowing and funny, and the series is a showcase for the many talented comedians who both star in it and appear as guests.

Hulu expands its slate of original programming with a series devoted to calling out the absurdities of Bravo's "Real Housewives" media franchise.

Like Yahoo Screen's Burning Love, which lampooned ABC's The Bachelor, Hulu's The Hotwives of Orlando skewers the Bravo's Real Housewives stronghold by more or less playing it straight. Both reality series have so many easy-to-recognize formulas that a satire only needs to approach the series with the slightest of tweaks, and then let the absurdity of the material speak for itself. READ MORE

The Hotwives of Orlando - US Weekly Review

By Eric Anderson

This brutal (and brutally funny) Real Housewives parody proves imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery. In 23-minute episodes, the spot-on cast skewers every personality, catfight and opening tagline. "Girls just wanna have fun, even when their husbands are dyeing!" Tawny (Casey Wilson) declares. Bravo, ladies. (Available July 15).

Angela Kinsey talks new 'Housewives' spoofing show

By Erin Strecker (Entertainment Weekly) - 6/3/14

Your new show is Hulu’s Real Housewives spoof The Hotwives of Orlando. Can you tell me a little about your character?
My character is a real ditzy weather girl. Which is a dream come true for me, to play a weather woman, because I just thought that would be so much fun. The only thing she has in common with my Office character is that she’s sort of religious, but she’s religious in that way that some people are who treat religion like a country club, where [it’s all about the] friends and [being on] committees. She loves Orlando. She seriously thinks it’s the best place ever. I have a line where I say, ‘I know heaven is going to be amazing, but it’s hard to believe it’s going to be better than Orlando.’  Oh! And I have massive boobs. They brought me like a box of boobs. And I had already had a push up bra [on]. It was crazy. READ MORE
